Burnt Out

Having analyzed my blog title multiple times, you probably expect some sort of soapbox about how college is hard, how i miss the comfort of home, how i am sick of forcing myself to meet new people, and how much i need this upcoming three day weekend. You would be wrong.

The new game Burnout Revenge is taking over a significant part of my life. Apparently it is the latest in a series of Burnout "Insert hardcore sounding word here" games. It's basically your standard racing game, except you are constantly trying to destroy, blow, up, or damage in any way possible all of the surrounding traffic, especially fellow racers. Crashes you cause are called takedowns and result in extra turbo for your car. It is A-mazing. There's just nothing like side swiping someone into a median at 200 mph, and watching them ramp 20 feet into the air where an oh-so-immovable bridge decimates their vehicle...wow. In some races you see who can cause 500,000 dollars of damage the quickest. Bonuses for ramming vehicles into oncoming traffic and getting creative with your takedowns (try landing on someone). The game basically takes our male dreams and makes them reality. I am addicted, whenever i say "ok, just one more race guys," Schoen (shane) begins acting like a drug addict with a syringe shouting "no, just one more guys, ONE MORE!!!" Oh the joys of Xbox, college, and all that comes with it.

Tonight i get to venture into a psychology research study and have people experiment on me...awkward...

Oh, and that whole prank call thing went pretty well. The lady was nice and said she would email me with her "ruling" sometime soon. I don't think the criminal court lingo was necessary but at least i'm not on house arrest or anything. Our girls soccer team lost for the first time this year to #4 UCLA (1-2...we were #9 :( ). Our guys water polo team (#6) beat #! USC on Saturday 5-4, it was intense...college sports rock. I can't wait til basketball season.
