You're nothing to me

The Godfather Part II contains the most passionate acting I have ever seen. Only Al Pacino's face can express the most supreme anger humanly possible while still remaining in complete control. He instills fear by entering a room. Not even his family feels safe around him. In a Mrs. Beaver-describing-Aslan sort of way you shouldn't feel safe around him. It's not wise. I don;t really want to give particulars away, but bottom line, go watch the trilogy (or at least the first two).

If you have never seen Scrabble televised, you haven't lived. My life-fulfilling opportunity came Monday afternoon when i wandered downstairs for a late lunch around 3. I flipped on ESPN2 and saw two ubernerds, as Triumph would call them, showing their acute knowledge of etymology. One was a concert pianist, the other, a math professor. Neither had seen sunlight in years. Lon McCeachern (sp?), the same guy who a few years ago got made fun of for being the loser who announced all the poker shows on ESPN tries to educate the audience as the game progresses. Some former scrabble champ rambles on about what their scabble computer says each player should do each turn. The thing is spitting out all the possible words, bingos, probabilities...scary stuff really. When i play Scrabble, i just hope to get double digits. These guys are losin' it when they go a couple turns without getting a bingo (emptying all your tiles with one word) and the 50 point bonus that comes with it. But props to the concert pianist who won the $25,000 first place prize (surprisingly he had a girlfriend), and even a few props to the math prof whose hairstyle was straight out of the early 90s. I can't even describe it, but you would instantly recognize the look.

So tomorrow i am goin' to Wheaton to visit Doug. You can count on multiple males sharing beds, frugality (or frugalness, whichever you prefer), late nights, NCAA tourney action, video games, and whatever else there is to do when most of the cool people are gone for Easter *sigh*. Welcome home those of you who get back before i do (probably Saturday afternoon).
